Happy Easter from Koinonia!

Easter Sunday began early for Koinonia Farm as we celebrated the Resurrection with a Sunrise Worship outside. The sun rose over the grape vineyard, and we sang, read scripture, and prayed.

If we weren’t already awake, Bren vigorously rang the bell to announce that Jesus is risen.

Interns, Elliott and Cassandra, read the Easter story from
Clarence Jordan’s Cotton Patch Gospel translation.
Our dear Sandy Scott, Spring CSASer, led us in the Easter Proclamation. Even the birds responded with joy.

After hearing how the disciples in Emmaus recognized Jesus when they broke the bread, the Koinonia Community shared communion, too. Bren blessed the bread and juice.

Sue offered a benediction of peace.
