Since Koinonia Farm’s founding in 1942, programs for young people have been a mainstay of our mission. Nurturing young people has always been part of sustainable and regenerative farming at Koinonia. That nurture comes through a deep connection—to place, to people, and to God’s word. Clarence Jordan, Koinonia’s co-founder, called this land “God’s Holy Ground,” and Camp Koinonia invites youth to experience it firsthand.
The measure of a community is not how many people it can hold but how many people it can send out to do good in the world. —Clarence Jordan

Discover, Grow, and Connect with Creation
Summers at Camp Koinonia mean a five-day overnight camp for youth ages 11 to 14, inspired by Psalm 24: “The Earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof.” With 575 acres of land—forest trails, organic pecan orchards, a creek, biologically grown fruits and vegetables, and a Christ-centered community—Koinonia Farm offers young people a place to find peace and rootedness in God’s creation.
Psalm 24 also tells us, “God has founded the earth on the seas and established it on the rivers.” Water is a gift and a responsibility. Campers will enjoy water games, take a trip to Lake Blackshear, and learn about sustainable water use and access to clean drinking water.
Hands-On Learning: Caring for God’s Earth
Through games, reflection questions, and shared experiences, campers and the Koinonia community will form deep and meaningful connections. Films, discussions, guest speakers, and hands-on activities will help us explore our relationship to the land—learning both sustainable practices and the impact of harmful ones. Panel discussions will challenge us to think about land ownership and stewardship in new ways.

Living in Community: Learning Through Faith and Fellowship
More than just a camp, this is a time for campers to experience life in a community dedicated to peace, justice, and love for over eight decades. Along the way, we’ll take time to pray and play, to listen to God and to one another, so that when camp ends, we’ll leave with hearts filled with grace and peace.
